Syndicate 1965 was established for the 2005 year of account in Singapore and is the first Lloyd's syndicate to operate exclusively outside of the Room. For 2009 the Syndicate is underwriting a direct marine and energy account, including hull, marine liability and cargo, as well as a treaty reinsurance book with a bias towards non-marine property.
ASML is also responsible for the management of
Special Purpose Reinsurance Syndicates 6101 and 6102. These syndicates were established to underwrite only for the 2007 and 2008 accounts to allow continuing member support post the takeover of Wellington by Catlin.
ASML has been instrumental in the establishment of these syndicates and offers a full service including business planning, assistance with the Lloyd's approval process and ongoing management of the syndicate operations.
